QSorter® Horizon
The sorting rockstar
Increase purity and germination
Remove GMO contaminations
Recover discards
Automate manual picking lines
The QSorter® Horizon is the unique sorting technology for seeds, grains and beans for analysing and sorting to 3'000 kernels per second. Thanks to High Resolution Near Infrared Spectroscopy and 3D Imaging, it sorts with respect to compositional properties (such as protein, oil, sucrose, caffeine) and physical parameters (such as colour, damages, size) in just one pass with 99% sorting mechanical accuracy.
The QSorter® Horizon allows the finest selection of seeds, grains or beans. In one hour, it processes several hundreds of bushels in up to five classes. While being exceptionally fast, the device uses non-invasive and non-destructive methods to ensure the integrity of commodities.

Recover Good Seeds, Grains, or Beans
Production facilities can waste up to 15% of good product because of the inefficiencies of other processing technologies. The QSorter® Horizon, with its unprecedented quality insights into kernel composition and its 99% sorting accuracy, can detect and extract good grains, seeds, and beans and recover up to 90% of the lost product. The selection process, which is made with respect to compositional and/or physical properties, can be applied to various types of issues: genetic purity, GMO purity, physical purity, taste preference, presence of diseases, and many other.
Create Premium Seeds, Grains and Drinks
Today, the production of seeds, food, and drink is based on quality indicators that are measured on average (e.g. 30% protein, 12% moisture) and this implies that all the kernels in the lot are assumed to be all equal. There are several cases where this assumption is actually wrong because quality variations amongst kernels of the same lot may be as high as 10% to 20%. The QSorter® Horizon is the first technology in the world that allows the fine selection of agricultural products, which enables our customers to increase product consistency and, furthermore, create new types of seeds, food, and drinks.
