The QualySense AG was founded in 2010 in Zurich Switzerland by by Dr. Francesco Dell’Endice, Paolo D’Alcini, and Olga Peters with the mission of “Helping People Discover the Real Value of Natural Resources”

Dr. Dell’Endice has a background in Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Imaging Spectroscopy; during his doctoral studies at the University of Zürich in Switzerland, he specialized in Hyperspectral Cameras for spaceborne and airborne missions in cooperation with the European Space Agency.

These missions were dedicated to collecting large and unprecedented datasets about quality parameters of various natural targets, such as soil, air, and water.  Right after his studies, he founded QualySense along with Paolo and Olga with the dream of helping agriculture and the food industry to optimize natural resources by better understanding their value, produce more with less and decreasing CO2 emissions by recovering waste, and create premium products by selecting the best raw materials.

In August 2023 QualySense joined forces with the Ferrum group. This collaboration has taken shape through the establishment of a new subsidiary - “Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG”. The integration of QualySense into the Ferrum group marks a strategic move aimed at setting new benchmarks for sustainability within the food industry.

Under the leadership of Francesco Dell’Endice, Co-Founder of QualySense and current CEO&CSO of Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG, the transition underscores a shared commitment to advancing the innovative capabilities of the QualySense QSorter® technology. This union places QualySense under the umbrella of the globally present Ferrum group, providing a powerful platform to significantly expand business operations.
